1st «Bluelight Health Congress by DI MIND»
19.09.2022 / SEEDAMM PLAZA Pfäffikon SZ
Employees of the blue-light organisations perform at their physical and mental best day and night. For the police, for example, to guarantee security, police officers must be able to draw on their full capacity. In addition to good health and fitness, resilience, i.e. the ability to withstand stress and inner strength, is a basic prerequisite for this. A study published in 2021 by the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of the UPD Bern and the Private Clinic Meiringen warns that post-traumatic stress disorders (PTSD) are on the rise among employees of the police and other blue-light organisations. That is why more and more police forces are paying attention to balancing the personal resources of their staff as much as possible.
The first «Bluelight Health Congress by DI MIND» will enable those responsible and employees of the blue-light organisations (police, fire brigade, rescue service, customs and border guard corps, etc.) to take stock of the current trends and tendencies in health promotion in the police. In addition, representatives of police units in Switzerland who rely on the heart rate variability (HRV) to promote the health of their staff will have their say.
We also welcome politicians, media representatives and other interested parties.

The congress is organised by the prevention specialist DI MIND, which has established itself in recent years as a competent partner for personal and occupational health management in the police field. The medically recognised scientific analysis of heart rate variability (HRV), which has been used in sports medicine for more than twenty years, will be used. For this purpose, concrete data on stress, sleep, work, leisure and physical activities are measured, documented, analysed and personally discussed with the employees. The integrated anonymised programme report is a perfect working document for the HR department to adapt the company health management to the identified needs.
